Description

Sumatra: Isle of Gold explores the unique culture and identity of today’s Sumatra, shaped by a long history of cross-cultural exchanges. It is the highlight of the National Heritage Board’s (NHB) Fokus Indonesia Festival, features the collections of the National Museum of Indonesia, the Museum Volkenkunde (National Museum of Ethnology), Leiden, the Asian Civilisations Museum and private collections.
