Misfits, ghosts and ghouls arise! The time has come for you to have a frightfully fun time scaring the living daylight out of everyone around. There are plenty of events this Halloween for the young and the old to enjoy!


Here's a selection of the spookiest Singapore has to offer - everything from kids' activities to theatre plays and themed club nights.
 

Halloween Horrors at the Night Safari
When: October 2 to 31 (most activities on Fridays and Saturdays).
Where: Night Safari
Price: $59 for adults, $49 per child, includes Night Safari admission.
Suitable for children

Halloween Horrors at the Night Safari returns for the third year running and is a night of thrills and spooks. Hop on the infamous Train of Terror to discover the haunted rainforest, the creepy walking trails where uninvited guests lurk and the 'bridge of no return'. The devil-icious cocktails and cuisine onboard the train should help calm the nerves.

Sentosa Spooktacular:
When: October 23, 24 and 30, 31
Where: Images of Singapore, Sentosa
Price: various, starts at $19

Promoted as Singapore's largest Asian-themed Halloween event, Sentosa Spooktacular will be held at the Images of Singapore Museum in Sentosa opens its doors at night over two weekends, taking visitors back to a time when our forefathers lived in extreme hardship and endured horrifying events, spooky superstitions and terrifying urban legends. After the exhibition, visitors can choose to party with the ghouls at the museum's front court.

 
Halloween at the Singapore Flyer
When: October 31
Where: The Singapore Flyer
Price: $29.50 for adults, $20.65 per child, $23.60 for seniors
Suitable for children

Spend your Halloween at the Singapore Flyer where ghouls, ghosts and fiends will emerge from tombstones and spooky trees around the Singapore Flyer to greet, in their own special way, unsuspecting guests. Should guests survive the approach, they'll get to experience the fright of height during the spectacular 165-metre Flyer rotation.

It seems ghosts and ghouls are also taking over the Arts in Singapore during Halloween, with several great themed plays and shows.


Shocks & Shiok - A Singapore Halloween Double Bill
When: October 22 to November
Where: ACTION Theatre

ACTION Theatre is introducing a first-of-its-kind Halloween drama, Singapore style! Shocks & Shiok is a double bill of two original plays about Asian ghosts, ang moh vampires and the poor Singaporeans who happen to cross their paths.


A Spy For A Spy Halloween Special
When: October 30 and 31
Where: Singapore Indoor Stadium Function Room
Price: $75 (includes 3 course Western finger food and drink)

Everyone loves a good murder mystery! In A Spy for A Spy Halloween Special, this 'Cluedo'- style play, the audience will be asked to pick up clues throughout the performance and identify the murderer from amongst a cast of sinister suspects.

The Meg and Mog Show
When: October 22 to November 1
Where: Players Theatre, Marine Parade CC Theatrette
Price: $25, $82 Family Package (4 pax with at least 1 child)
Suitable for children

The Players Theatre is offering kids, and parents, the chance to trick AND treat on Halloween weekend. The Meg and Mog Show follows the adventures of the famous picture book characters as they set off to overturn one of Meg's spell that has gone terribly wrong. There's lots of songs and audience participation to keep you and the kids tickled throughout.

And make sure to dress up the kids in Halloween outfits as, after the show, they get to trick-or-treating with Meg and Mog around the theatre.


 
Halloween Party at Go-Go Bambini
When: October 31, 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Where: Blk 8 Dempsey Road
Price: $35 per child
Suitable for children

Singapore's largest indoor children's entertainment centre Go-Go Bambini is also throwing a Halloween Party on October 31. There will be prizes for the best costumes, a treasure hunt, lots of scary stories and dancing. Food is provided and parents can either drop off the kids or join in the fun.

Halloween is also an opportunity for adults to regress, digress and get dressed! So if you're looking for an excuse to wear silly pointed hats, long robes and to scream and screech at strangers, you might consider these themed bars and club nights.


Ghastly Lager Chugger at the Brauhaus
When: October 30 and 31, 6pm to late
Where: Paulaner Brauhaus
Price: Depends on how many beers you can drink

Fright Night is also coming to German microbrewery Paulaner Brauhaus with their Ghastly Lager Chugger at the Brauhaus nights. Inside the macabre mansion of enchanting elixirs (otherwise known as freshly brewed Munich lagers and darks), ghostly and ghoulish staff will have their way with guests, who are also encouraged to dress up and take part in a photo contest.


Freak Fashion Festival
When: October 31st
Where: Butter Factory and Overeasy
Price: Normal cover charges apply

The hugely popular Butter Factory wins the 'freak of the week' award this Halloween, for the most original night. Their Halloween highlights include a 'Freak Boutique' - where you can buy all sorts of scream-o-rama rags; the 'Texas Chainsaw Mascara' - to get your free ghoulish face-paint and 'So You Think You Can Thriller' - a mass Zombie dance at the stroke of midnight.


Villainville at Zouk
When: October 31
Where: Zouk
Price: Normal cover charges apply

While Butter Factory wins the gong for most original night, Zouk wins the prize for, well, best prizes. The most awesome costume of the night wins a pair of tickets to the original Sin City, Los Angeles. Consolation prizes include Nokia phones and Bacardi hampers.


The Night of the Black Tongue
When: October 30
Where: Home Club
Price: $15 including standard drink

Head to Home Club dressed up in your Halloween best, or worst (whatever rocks your coffin!) and stomp your ghoulish feet till dawn to the best tunes by the hellfire BEAT! DJ duo.

Late Night In The Asylum
When: October 31s
Where: Zirca
Price: $15 including 2 drinks before 11pm, $25 after.

Visiting hours at the Asylum will be over, but that's when the fun begins. Head down to Zirca where all hell will break loose on Halloween night. Be warned, once you check into the Asylum, you might never check out!
