Sci-fi Movie Festival and Forum
Back by popular demand, the Singapore Sci-fi Movie Festival delivers up a lineup of exciting blockbusters such as 2012, Iron Man, I Am Legend, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Avatar. For deeper intellectual stimulation, participants are encouraged to stay and discuss the science behind the films with a selected panel of scientists present.

If you just want a chilled-out movie evening without going all the way to the Science Center, there's always the option of catching blockbuster Avatar at the ION Orchard's popular late night free outdoor movie screenings. Great for unwinding after a long day of shopping!

Mexico, Country of Colors exhibition
We may be familiar with tacos and salsa, but how much do we really know about the rich culture, heritage and landscape that makes up Mexico? Journey through the country's vibrantly stunning sceneries, architecture, art, festivals and traditions as seen through the eyes of author and photographer Ricardo Espinosa, as Mexico celebrates 3000 years of history and 200 years of independence in September.

Kite Festival Roadshow and Exhibition
Held island-wide across six malls as a precursor to Kite Flying Days, the kite festival roadshow showcases visually stunning kite displays spanning 2000 square feet, indoor kite flying demonstrations, and interactive kite making workshops.

Siemens Hearing Awareness Week
Educate yourself and your kids on hearing related issues the fun way, at the Siemens Hearing Awareness Week. The road show aims to increase awareness of hearing-related issues, so we can better learn how to protect our hearing which is extremely delicate. Hearing screenings are also provided for free!

Artist Chun Kai Qun explores the concept of Utopia with scenes of roads depicting the anxieties and desires of individuals living in a contemporary society. People driving on these roads heading for Utopia suggests that the journey and search alone are equally, if not more, important than the ideal itself.

Parents, educate your kids on beach safety by getting them to join the Beach Patrol Team at Palawan and Siloso Beach, while trained instructors safely guide them to the do's and don'ts of proper beachside etiquette.
