For the past two decades, you have probably heard multi-platinum, pop/rock superstar and tantric sex enthusiast Sting performing his songs in every iteration possible – big and bombast with a full orchestra, folksy and even remixed to house and electro.

So what else does one – after performing for 25 years – have to offer? Going back to basics of course.

For his upcoming date here in Singapore on 13 December at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the rock god will be doing his hits stripped down and taking it back to bass.

In support of ‘Sting: 25 Years’, the box set collection which will be released on 27 September 2012, “Back to Bass” finds Sting giving us a historical tour through enduring solo career, from his 1985 debut ‘The Dream of the Blue Turtles’ to his latest, ‘Live in Berlin’, plus a selection of The Police’s greatest hits.

The British singer and bassist will be joined by a band including his long-time guitarist Dominic Miller, as well as Rufus Miller (guitar), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Peter Tickell (electric fiddle), and Jo Lawry (backing vocals).

Sting Back To Bass Tour is on 13 December, Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets $98, $148, $198, and $248 from Sistic from 13 September.
